  Dr. Aaron Leishman graduated with high honors from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He attended Berea College in Kentucky, where he graduated with his B.A. degree in biology in 1997. Dr. Leishman is extremely committed to providing his patients with comprehensive dentistry. This desire has led him to continue his studies by attending the entire continuum of courses at The Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry and the Spear Institute, which are recognized as two of the top comprehensive dental centers in the world. Dr. Leishman travels across the country throughout the year learning about the latest treatments in comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry. This also includes extensive training in the treatment of TMD (or dysfunction of the jaw joints). He has helped many patients who suffer from jaw pain and uncomfortable bites. Dr. Aaron Leishman is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Lee County Dental Society, and Estero Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Leishman is also a member of Omnicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society. Admission is based on scholarship and character and is determined by annual election by active members. He also actively participates in monthly study clubs, including the Bonita Study Club and The Perio-Prosthetic Implant Study Club, where the most recent products and techniques in dentistry are presented and discussed among colleagues. Dr. Leishman has been voted one of the top dentists of SW Florida by his colleagues every year since 2011. Dr. Leishman grew up in Southeast Kentucky and enjoyed spending time in the mountains. He moved to Southwest Florida with his family in 1994 where he met his wife, Melica. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys cheering on the Florida Gators! He loves being involved in the community and regularly provides dental care for local charity organizations. These organizations support children and teenagers who have no families and no access to dental care. Dr. Leishman was previously the Scout Master for Boy Scout troop #99, Southwest Florida Council. He and his wife have been married for 20 years and they have four children - three girls and one boy.
